My Philosophy
"One good thing about music,-
When it hits, you feel no pain."
-Bob Marley, Trenchtown Rock

In fact, quite an opposite sensation occurs, and I have felt its power all my life. My lifelong goal is to inspire people and make the world a better place through the power of music, whether the means be performing, songwriting, teaching, or any other musical avenue. I wish to help people relate to, feel connected to, and understand each other through this universal language - music.
Biography
Juliet grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she began her musical training at an early age. She is forever grateful to Ed Clark, her guitar teacher when she was eight, -not because she is much better at guitar now than she was then, but because he encouraged her to bag the guitar and take voice lessons after hearing her passionate renditions of such songs as, "I've Been Working on the Railroad!"

Always involved in musical groups and additional private voice lessons all through school, Juliet began testing out her performance chops in a variety of shows with New Mexico's leading theatre company, ACLOA/Musical Theatre Southwest, in which she received critical acclaim.

Upon graduation, she headed for UMKC Conservatory of Music on scholarship, where she received a Bachelor of Music-Vocal Performance, with honors, as well as a Bachelor of Music Education-Choral. Aside from cramming two degrees into five years, Juliet stayed busy moonlighting in operas, performing back up vocals, as an intern director and conductor with the Kansas City Children's Chorus, as a voice teacher, and in various gigs around town, including Kansas City's newly re-opened Science City/Union Station.

After five freezing Mid-Western winters, Juliet found herself in Los Angeles, performing professionally in musicals, and getting side-tracked by the TV/film industry, where she was seen on such shows as "The O.C," and "Scrubs."

However, she very quickly landed her dream job as a lead singer for production shows on board a luxury cruise ship, where she was able to combine her passions for singing and travelling. Juliet has since worked for Holland America, Renaissance Cruises, and Radisson Seven Seas Cruises (Voyager Inaugural World Cruise), where she also performed as a headliner. Returning to LA, she stayed steadily active in the recording scene doing session work, demos, and guest vocals.

Though no less passionate to perform, Juliet delved into a more introspective side of music: songwriting. Her country song, "Stop, Drop, and Roll" captured a Runner-Up honor in VH1's Song of the Year competition. She has also made the Top 10 charts on Broadjam numerous times on regional and national levels, and has had several of her songs placed in films.

In terms of songwriting, Juliet refuses to limit herself to one genre, writing for pop, adult contemporary, and country. Ultimately though, Juliet's strongest suit is in her classical training, and she has begun to make a name for herself in the classical/new age/ambient genres a la Enya and Sarah Brightman who she is often compared to.

Her greatly anticipated first CD is expected to be out in late 2008.
